GENERAL RULES

* Winners’ Concert at MUSIKVEREIN Vienna with Wiener Stadtorchester.
* The contest is open to musicians of all nationalities
* No age limit
* Free Repertoire
* All participants will provide publicly accessible video links to YouTube
* Participants apply with a duration of about 25 minutes (There is no minimum time limit)
* The recording shall be taken by one camera, showing the face and hands of the musician.

All documents must be submitted before October 31, 2023, fill out the online form at www.newyearscompetition.com or please send an e-mail to newyearscompetition@gmail.com
The official results will be announced on November 13, 2023 at www.newyearscompetition.com
– A copy of your ID card or passport
– A high-definition color photograph
– A biography in English (max. 200 words)
– Participants apply with a duration of about 25-minute YouTube link. There is no minimum time limit.
– Proof of registration fee € 90 payment via bank or € 95 payment via PayPal transfer.
The € 90 application fee via bank payment (plus the banking fee) is due in full, and will not be refunded by the competition board. (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain)

AWARDS

* Each 1st prize winner will have the opportunity to perform for a duration of about 12 minutes with the WIENER STADTORCHESTER at Musikverein Vienna.
*
In each category, first, second, and third-place winners will receive special certificates and Honorable Mention awards will also be presented. Furthermore, special certificates will be given to young talents.
* A marketing campaign and publicity will be conducted to promote the Vienna concert and enhance the winners’ careers.


RULES

* Only one musician will be awarded as the winner in each category (“A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” “E,” “F,” “G”). In exceptional cases where candidates receive the same score, multiple winners may be awarded.
* The winners will have to live perform with the WIENER STADTORCHESTER at Musikverein Vienna, following the aforementioned rules.
* Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the winners.
* The jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal. The judges are not obliged to provide explanations for their decisions.
* By submitting their application (including all documents and competition fees), candidates indicate their acceptance of all these rules.
* All participants who have been awarded a prize in the competition are invited to the concert and award ceremony. They are responsible for their accommodation, transportation, and all related expenses.

* Participants who have not received an award will receive a certificate of participation by email upon request. It can be sent electronically at a cost of 22 euros.
* Teachers and accompanying persons can also receive certificates on request. It can be sent electronically at a cost of 22 euros.
